On arrival in San José airport, you will be transferred to your hotel.
Enroute explore San José city on a City tour. Start on the eastern side of San José, pass by Democracy Square, National Museum, Judicial Courts, LosYoses neighborhood, San Pedro Mall, Hispanic Fountain, and the campus of the University of Costa Rica. Continue the tour and visit the impressive Pre-Columbian Gold Museum and the beautiful National Theater.
Later visit the western part of the city, pass by the Metropolitan Sabana Park, Art Museum of Costa Rica which is actually the old control tower of the first San Jose international airport, the national gymnasium, Comptroller General of the Republic, the residential area of Rohrmoser, the Embassy of the Vatican City, the home of the Nobel Peace Prize winner and former Costa Rican President Oscar Arias, Rohrmoser Boulevard, and the area of Pavas. Before the end of the tour visit an interesting site, where you will have the opportunity to buy souvenirs from your visit to San José City.
Note: On Sundays, the National Theater is closed and visit will be only from outside, along with all of the rooms of the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum.

This morning, admire the surrounds of a capital city on a full day Doka coffee, Poás Volcano & La Paz Waterfall gardens tour. Take the Pan-American Highway to the city of Alajuela, passing by the Agriculture Monument, Juan Santamaria monument and the famous Mango Park. During our ascent to Poás Volcano, stop for a fascinating coffee tour on the Doka Estate, and then continue the trip through fern, flower and strawberry fields. At the Volcano, some time to enjoy the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles. Then walk along trails up to the beautiful Botos Lagoon and learn about the different ecosystems in the national park.
Continue driving around the back side of the volcano to the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. In this natural theme park, hike easy trails to see spectacular wildlife exhibits, cloud forest and waterfalls, including the Magia Blanca (white magic) Waterfall, which is the largest and most impressive of the area. After the walk, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.

Start your day with a breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Arenal Volcano. The impressive Arenal Volcano is a magnificent natural wonder located in La Fortuna de San Carlos, and features an iconic cone-shaped crater. Travel the northern plains of the country. Enroute make a brief stop at the famous town of Sarchi, well-known internationally for its industrious artisans and as the birthplace of handicrafts in Costa Rica.
Have lunch in the town of La Fortuna in a local restaurant. This excellent location allows us to have the best views of the volcano. Have a short and relaxing stop in one of the area’s best sites for thermal waters. You may opt and book a massage or spa treatment in advance.

This morning enjoy an unforgettable adventure through the rainforest to the beautiful Fortuna Waterfall. Enjoy Horseback ride for about an hour to reach the entrance of the waterfall. Hike down to the amazing waterfall, over 60 meters high, where you can swim and enjoy the flora and fauna.
The rest of the day is at leisure.

Today be transfered to the Monteverde Cloud Forest, which will be a combination of land and water. The minibus will pick you up at your hotel to take you to Lake Arenal, where you will board a motorized boat to cross Lake Arenal to Rio Chiquito. The other side, the minibus will take you to your hotel in beautiful Monteverde.

Spend the day in the cloud forest at Selvatura Park. Hike the trails for about 3 miles, passing across 8 different hanging bridges of various lengths (between 50 and 170 meters) with heights between 12 and 60 meters. The average duration of the walk is 2 hours.

You have an option to choose the “Canopy Tour” or “zip line” at the additional cost. You will fly through the forest on 15 cables to 18 platforms.
