Auckland, ‘City of Sails’ is impossibly beautiful, set as it is on a rugged coastline with both the Tasman Sea and the Pacific lapping at its shores and punctuated by volcanoes. Auckland also boasts of a throbbing nightlife, buzzing casinos and some of the finest restaurants.
Rotorua is famous for Maori tradition and geothermal geysers. All around the city are steaming sulphur mud pits that give the city its unique odour, but the upside is that there are also a ton of gorgeous thermal spas here, to relax in. The city provides a raft of attractions and experiences for everyone from adventure-seekers to those just looking to unwind.

On arrival in Auckland, ‘The City of Sails’, seat in coach guests will be met and privately transferred to hotel. Self-drive guests will collect a rental car and drive to the hotel.
The rest of the day is at leisure. Auckland is a blend of islands, Polynesian culture, glistening harbours and modern city environment. Overnight in Auckland.
Travel south past rolling green hills and lush pastureland to Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Enjoy a guided tour of the weird and wonderful limestone formations and a magical boat ride under thousands of twinkling glow worms.
Later head to Matamata and visit Hobbiton Movie Set for a guided tour of ‘Middle Earth’.
Continue to Rotorua. Rotorua is known for bubbling mud pools, shooting geysers and natural hot springs, as well as showcasing our fascinating Māori culture.

This morning, visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve to see boiling mud pools and roaring geysers. Following this, visit the Agrodome for a New Zealand farm show before continuing to Rainbow Springs to see New Zealand’s trout, birds and wildlife.
Afternoon is at leisure to experience some of Rotorua’s other attractions.
This evening enjoys an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert. Learn about local customs and watch a powerful display of song and dance before a hangi dinner.
